About Me

Hi! My name is Jenna and I have been married to my wonderful husband, Dave, for 5 years. Fortunately, he loves food as much as I do (maybe more). I have been cooking for him since before we were engaged, which I think is why he married me. They say, “The key to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” It is definitely true in my case. We have a black lab named Hurley and we all love the beach.

Besides my husband, food and my dog, I love planning. I love planning lists and being able to check things off; it’s one of the small thrills in my life. But I especially love planning menus. Whether it is a simple weekly dinner menu or a Christmas Eve menu, I love planning what to make, how to make it and how to time all the parts so everything finishes together nice and hot and delicious. If you are anything like me, then this blog might not be very helpful to you because you are already planning your way to delicious meals. However, if planning is not your thing, I’m here to help. I decided to create this blog for people who might not enjoy planning as much as I do.

I have been planning my weekly dinners for about 3 years now and it has worked out great. That dreaded question, “What’s for dinner?” is no longer dreaded. Both my husband and I, two of the most indecisive people ever, don’t have to argue every single night about what to have or where to go for dinner. And by planning meals for the week, I only make one grocery trip for that week which also saves us money. No more arguing and saving money are two great reasons for me to stick with this great plan!

I have had such success with my meal plans that I wanted to share the success with anyone who is interested, whether you are single, married, have kids, or retired. On this blog, you will see delicious recipes of (mostly) healthy and (generally) simple meals. Some recipes were handed down, some created and some researched through the internet and the ever-amazing Pinterest. But all recipes are included, as well as an ingredient list which will be key in creating a grocery list for that week. I will also be posting tips here and there for weekly menus and how to save money to help you along the way, as well as menus for special occasions. If you ever have any questions or comments, I am open to both. Keeping it positive is always appreciated! Hope you enjoy!
